These necessity routines, such as waking up and eating, are fundamental parts of our daily lives.

Morning Gratitude Affirmation: As soon as you wake up, think of one thing you’re grateful for before getting out of bed. This simple act sets a positive tone for the day and can enhance your overall mood and outlook.
Tip - Set a Morning Reminder: Place a sticky note on your alarm clock or use a phone reminder to prompt you to think of one thing you’re grateful for as soon as you wake up.
Gratitude while Eating: Take a moment before each meal to appreciate the food you’re about to eat and those who prepared it. This mindful practice helps you to be present and fosters a sense of gratitude for the nourishment and effort involved in your meals.
Tip - Mindful Eating Practice: During meals, take a moment to savour each bite, appreciate the flavours, and reflect on the effort to bring the food to your table.
Gratitude while Brushing Your Teeth: As you brush your teeth, think of one thing you’re grateful for about yourself or your life. This brief moment of gratitude can set a positive tone for the day or help you unwind at night. It’s a simple way to incorporate gratitude into a routine task.
Tip - Leave a note for yourself: When brushing your teeth at night, leave a note for your morning self. It could be an affirmation of gratefulness or a reminder to think of something grateful.
