Gratitude Journaling - Launching Our 21-Day Challenge - Part 4 of 4

Hello, friends,

Welcome back to the final instalment of our 21-day gratitude journaling challenge series. Your enthusiasm and commitment have been truly inspiring, and it has been incredible to see this challenge’s positive impact on your daily lives.

This week, we have included a link to a 9:30-minute TED talk. We found it inspiring and a reminder of why we love gratitude journaling. We hope you enjoy it!

The Final Stretch: Last 7 Days!

We are now entering the final week of our 21-day gratitude journaling challenge. This is the home stretch! How have you been finding the journey so far? What new insights have you gained? How has focusing on a single daily prompt affected your mindfulness and awareness? What challenges have you faced, and how have you overcome them?

We’d love to hear from you! Share your experiences by replying to this email.

Another Peek into My Gratitude Journal

As we approach the end of our challenge, I want to share some recent reflections from my gratitude journaling journey.

24 May 2024

I had such an amazing session with my life coach today. We went through something called a life wheel, focusing on happiness. After listing out each item that made me happy, we put a score against it and then looked at which part of that wheel I wanted to progress. I am so grateful for my life coach and what she brings.

Today was a bit of a grind. I always feel a little bit down after my life coach sessions. I feel extremely motivated but, at the same time, a bit down. I think it's a transition from the lovely highs of working through something so special on Friday to my emotions trying to equalise on Saturday. I know what it is, so I can acknowledge it and ride through it. Sunday is always a great day.

These entries remind me that gratitude isn’t just for the high moments but also for the days when we feel slightly off. Recognising and accepting our emotions’ natural ebb and flow is part of the journey. Through journaling, I’ve learned to appreciate the process and stay grounded, even when things feel challenging.

Nature. Beauty. Gratitude.

The TED Talk linked below highlights how many simple things around us can bring immense joy if we just take a moment to recognise them.

Conversation Corner

Jack sat next to Jill on their favourite park bench. 'Can you believe we’re in the last 7 days of our 21-day gratitude challenge?'

Jill smiled and closed her journal. 'It’s been an amazing journey, hasn’t it? How are you feeling as we approach the end?'

'Honestly, I’m proud of myself,' Jack said. 'There were tough days, but journaling helped me stay grounded. I remember one day this week when I was swamped with work. Journaling reminded me of all the support I have and the progress I’ve made.'

'That’s wonderful to hear, Jack,' Jill said, clapping her hands. 'It’s moments like these that show the true power of gratitude. It’s not just about the good times, but about finding strength during challenges.'

Jack nodded. 'What about you, Jill? Any reflections from this week?'

'Definitely,' Jill said. 'I had a day where I felt really stressed. But by taking a moment to journal, I realised how much I had already accomplished and how grateful I am for the little things, like a supportive friend or a moment of peace.'

'It’s amazing how journaling can shift our perspective,' Jack said, smiling. 'I’m glad we’re doing this together. It’s made all the difference.'

'Absolutely,' Jill said. 'Let’s finish strong and carry this habit forward. We’ve built a foundation of gratitude that can support us long after this challenge ends.'

Jack raised his journal. 'Here’s to the final 7 days and beyond. Thanks for the motivation, Jill.'

'Cheers to that,' Jill said, lifting her journal. 'Let’s keep growing and supporting each other.'
