Using the 1/3/1 Writing Rhythm
The 1/3/1 writing rhythm is a simple yet powerful structure for writing, thus journaling.
First, you open with a single sentence that sets the tone or introduces the prompt. Next, you expand on the idea with three sentences that delve deeper into your thoughts and reflections. Finally, you conclude with one sentence encapsulating your insights and expressing gratitude. Using this rhythm, you can create concise and meaningful journal entries that capture the essence of your daily experiences.
Remember to appreciate the small moments and lessons as you continue your gratitude journaling journey.
Here is an example of the 1/3/1 Writing Rhythm Technique:
1/3: I have the tools to be successful.
2/3: I need to be confident in my application through this task. The task itself is new, but the method is the same. Apply the same confidence, and I will end up with the result I am looking for. Trust the process and trust the tools.
3/3: I am grateful I have the skills, tools and confidence to tackle this task.
